I have had so much fun creating this bold, abstract collage paintings of Wakefield's stores, restaurants, bakeries, and Inn's. The art series is called 'Storefront Series - Wakefield.' The best part of this process has been that I got to meet so may amazing people who run these businesses, they are so passionate, and creative. Bistro Rutherford is a family friendly "comfort food" restaurant that is located beside The Black Sheep Inn, along the main street. So be sure to stop by and enjoy the art exhibit, and some delicious food!
All of the art is acrylic on canvas, paper, recycled paper and magazines, marker, pastel, gel medium. This vibrant collection of art is a reflection of the artist's continued fascination with local business in Canada, including Wakefield.
Location of the Show: Bistro Rutherford/Gallery, 753 Chemin Riverside RR 2, Wakefield.
Hours:11 am to 7:30 pm Sunday and Monday and 11 am to 9 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Closed on Tuesdays.
